Year 1 Homework 15th June

This week's homework is all about the incredible broad beans we have harvested from our allotment today. The children have brought one home to show you.

The children thoroughly enjoyed bringing in the broad bean harvest today and broke into spontaneous worship waving them in the air and singing:-'I've got that joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart'. You truly are fabulous children!

For their homework they can write about bringing in the broad beans and maybe research a recipe that we could try.

As a maths activity they could count and measure the different parts of the bean and put the beans in size order. Does the size of all the individual beans add up to the same as the case? Will the number of beans share in half or a quarter?

We will be selling bags of broad beans to raise money for our next crop - please support us!!
